Capturing light in the garden

In my experimentation of light in the landscape I focused on one area of my garden. I started off by getting a whole load of canvas boards and building up a surface on them with talc and white paint. I then added a layer of a different colour acrylic paint to each board. This was to experiement with the base layer of the painting and how it influences the image. I found that yellow made the painting lighter so I had to use darker colours as a contrast. It also created a warmer image than a plain white background.
